Pose estimation is the science of finding the position of body joints in an image. Modern models detect ~33 landmarks — shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and more — many times per second.

From dots to advice

Those landmarks are just coordinates. The interesting part is turning them into joint angles, segmenting reps into phases, and comparing against what 'good' looks like for a specific exercise.

The honest limits

  • A single camera can't see everything — angle matters
  • Loose clothing and bad lighting reduce accuracy
  • It estimates, so we always show a confidence score

That's why OurFit is a coach, not a referee: it surfaces likely issues and explains them, and tells you when it isn't sure.
